"It's Christmas Time"

Our First Trip to get a Christmas Tree

Sundberg was going to pull our tree home in the wagon, but no tree so he pulled Connor up the hill
He did get going a bit too fast :D
Our AWESOME OB Christmas Parade
Picking Out the real deal :D
Connor decorating the tree with his toys
 Taylor crawling under the tree...
 Oh, Christmas Tree
At least once a day, Connor says, "It's Christmas Time!" with so much excitement. Christmas has always been my favorite time of year, but with kids...it is even better! We have been having lots of fun eating chocolate from our Advent Calendar, listening to Christmas music, enjoyed the OB Christmas parade, watching Christmas movies (well Connor, at least), Christmas shopping, looking at Christmas lights (it is the only time I drive under the speed limit ;D), and decorating our tree.
Picking out the tree this year was funny...we originally walked up to the local school who was selling them, but went to the wrong part and never saw any trees...opps. So Home Depot was our back up plan...Connor was not too excited about the "No Tree Farm", he envisioned, like Curious George to be lost in the trees, running from Mom and Dad I am sure. Instead Home Depot had just gotten their shipment of trees, so they were all piled up still wrapped in twine. We choose the one tree that someone had opened and did not like. It is awesome...Look how cute it is. When we brought it home we thought we should lift it off the ground so Taylor, our little crawler, would not get into it. Great idea, but she loves to crawl underneath it ;D. Connor was so excited to decorate, he had started as we were trying to put the stand on. In just a few minutes he had lots of toys setting on all the branches. It was very cute. He learned quickly about ornaments, once I opened the box and I believe we broke only 4 ;D.
Still a few more weeks of shopping...which has been so fun with Connor. He is quite the singer at the top of his lungs, Jingle Bells is his favorite as he is practicing since he was told Santa buys ipad's for little boys who know the whole song. He had it memorized in three days :D, so now he LOVES to sing it in stores. He is also great at pulling items off the shelf and telling me who we are buying it for.
Ahhhhh....Christmas with children, it is so fun!
