Better late than never

G

I love that saying - more than ever being a mom because I have realized it takes a while to get things done ;) My parents came to visit two weeks ago and we had a wonderful weekend. Grandparents are special people! VERY special! It was a nice relaxing weekend. Connor went to the zoo for the first time - he was asleep for the entire tour of the SB zoo and the feeding of the giraffe, but he has some souvenirs and pics to remind him when he is older!

2 months!

I can't believe I have been a mom for two months now. It has gone by so fast. Connor was 2 months on Tuesday and now a 15lb boy. The mornings are truely my favorite time. He has began waking up to say good morning with a smile, not just for another feeding! It is so awesome. He wakes me up in the morning for our cuddle times and we go visit daddy working in the office if he has not left the house yet. I have always loved family, but now my love is even stronger as we have our own lil family!
Each day we are becoming more comfortable as parents and taking Connor out for new adventures. This time was mommys time to surf!!! Mike still caught a few waves after I came in :) Hope you enjoy the pics!
Love to all! ashley

Opps...8 weeks is today!

I got a little ahead of myself! Connor is 8 weeks today :0) and I think he is teething!! We had a wonderful morning walking around SB - I took him to see the ducks and turtles at the park and to the beautiful Courthouse, but he slept the whole time ;( The rest of the day was not as easy....he was fussy, did not want to sleep, chewing on everything, and drooling like crazy - all the symptoms of teething! Poor boy. Hope you enjoy these fun pics of our tour on the town today in his BOB - which he loves!!!

Our boy is 8 weeks

Mama & Connor at PEP

Dada & Connor taking an afternoon siesta

Connor playing in his new activity center!

It is unbelieveable to think that 8 weeks ago I was in the hospital bringing Connor into this world. Everyone says time flys, enjoy each minute of it because you will forget how little they once were. I am now beginning to believe it! Today at PEP I got to switch babies with moms and hold this little girl who was only 10 lbs and she was so tiny and felt light as a feather. Connor is now 14 lbs!! He is mommys little monster for sure. I am getting overload on my biceps :0) !!
Each day brings more smiles - not just on my face, but Connor too. It is so fun spending each day with him, learning how to make him happy and smile! He is such a blessing!

Last weekend Mike and I adventured to Big Bear for our first road trip with Connor. It was a long drive of 7.5 hours, but we made it safe, tired and so happy to be spending the 4th of July at the cabin! It was a fun, hot and awesome weekend- Connor had his first lake trip, first hike, first bonding experience with his Uncle Scott and Uncle Andy! Hope you enjoy some of the pics- Connor was 6 weeks old in these photos...He is growing fast! Sorry to those of you requesting pics, I have been recouping all week from this long weekend! ;)
