Naples

Hmmmm...We only ran across the freeway to find this entrance to the trail.
Are we trespassing?

My boys. Standing above a cliff thinking "How are we going to get down!?"

We went the Snake Creek route (well that was our name of this sketchy trail)
I am pretty sure this is where the tick found his new home.

We walked miles on this beach, just the Perry's. It was so peaceful
and amazing knowing beach like this still exists in California

My boys again.

On Sunday...after Connor's baby dedication we went for a Hike at Naples! It was a fun day...but the darn tick bite I got! No bueno.

Santa Barbara Zoo

Feeding a giraffe

1st Train Ride

Choo...Choo!!

Connor is 9 months old today! Can you believe it?
Yesterday we took him to the zoo to see all the animals in his cool new glasses. It was fun watching him look at all the animals, since previous trips he never had interest...We took him on his first train ride around the park too :0) It was a fun day - he is still doing great with his glasses! And drawing lots of attention - everyone just loves him, its hard not to when he is always smiling and laughing!
We will miss our little zoo, but are looking forward to showing Connor the San Diego Zoo soon...

He Can Now See The World. B)

His first reaction looking at himself in the mirror.

After looking at the mirror, he turned to look at me.

He will not stop starring at himself in the mirror.

He can see the world!

Walking around the store with Dada.

The little strap to keep them on.

So cute.

And more cuteness!

Today we picked up Connor's glasses :0)  It was so cute putting on his glasses for the first time...Dada held his little hands while I put them on. He tried to take them off a few times, but then we put him in the mirror and....well look at the pic :0)
Connor has put many smiles on our faces since the moment he came into this world. Today was a different type of smile - I am not sure I can explain it...all I know is its from ear to ear and it will not go away everytime I look at him. He has not even tried to take his glasses of since we have been home. I believe he just knows he needs them....He can now see the world.

More Fun in Roseville.

Someone loves shoe shopping :0) Just like Mommy!

He began an obsession of turning on and off lights

This is right after Connor took his 1st steps :0)

Wrestling with a super cool cuz, Glenn

I think Auntie Karly visited the most! She loves him!

Connor and I enjoyed our week in Roseville. It was a busy one with visitors and shopping :0) (Sometimes what I do best) Connor loved crawling around Gramma and Grandpa's house - they child proofed most of it...Connor only managed to break one thing - a soup bowl. He loves opening up every cupboard to empty the entire thing!
I think my favorite part of our trip was the morning my dad and I were enjoying a cup of coffee and by suprise Connor decided to take his first steps....3 of them! He is wanting to walk sooooo very badly!
Thanks Gramma and Grandpa for spoiled us for a week :0) We loved it, like always!

Roseville Again.

Someone loves the crocodile!

This is one of his new faces when he gets excited about something!

Playing with Gramma

A super cool kitchen toy - I wish I could put this in my suitcase to take home with us. I think we need to buy one for our house or come visit more often

Connor loves to clap...I taught him by always holding his hands and clapping them for him...Now he is teaching Gramma ;0)

Connor and I came up to my parents house to visit...(so I could do some photography work this week as well!) Connor was spoiled with tons of new toys for Valentine's Day...it is a good thing as these nasty storms are keeping him inside everyday :0)

My little Fishy

My little fishy Connor has been taking swim lessons for 6 weeks at the YMCA. It has been so much fun to watch him splash and laugh in the water! Today was the last day and was the only day you were allowed to take photos...for some reason there was some issues with the camera, so this was the best I could share with you...enjoy!

CONGRATS to MIKE!

Last night, our little family went to McConnell's to celebrate Mike getting his new job and say our last good bye's to our favorite frozen yogurt shop (I am sure I will have to get it at least once more before we leave).  As you can see Connor really enjoyed it...it was his first time eating ice cream (i know he is young, but its McConnell's we had to start him off right ;)!!!) and he is really proud of his dada for working so hard each day too!
So...now you all know - The Perry Family is moving to San Diego.
Saying goodbye...to all of friends we have made here (you are all welcome to visit us anytime!). All Connor's friends too. Jalama. Emmawood. Sojourner. 1 freeway. State St. Hope Church. hiking SB hills. trees. Jack. Dr. Black. I know there will be more once we move and realize how good we had it here.
Good to have you back...Nati's. Pirates Cove. No surfs. Kirin Sushi. Torrey Pines. Yogurt Mill. The beach town vibe. Friends (you know who you are!) I am sure there are some things I have forgotten about it San Diego in the past 2 years.
It has been a wonderful experience living in Santa Barbara. We feel so fortunate to have lived here for a while, experience the beauty of SB and build relationships that we know will last forever!

GLASSES. B)

Not feeling these too much.

Getting better...

Aww...I LOVE them!

A little side view.

Yep. We like them! Connor with Auntie Karly

A little update...Well, its gonna be a full story as we never did tell many people about Connor's eyes. So here I go (I will make it as short as possible)...
At 8 weeks old we noticed Connor's pupils were not centered. The pediatrician referred us to an opthamologist as he never had seen such a thing. A few weeks went by until we could get an appointment. Everything turned out to be normal, just rare. Since Connor was so young they could not do a full eye exam, so they wanted to see him back in 6 months. That appointment was 2 weeks ago and the results were not as expected. As parents, we just thought Connor was perfect (well he has his moments, butyou know what I mean...He is perfect ;)!!!) The opthamologist did a full eye exam and found that Connor was very near-sided. As an infant it is rare to be near-sided, a sign of glaucoma...So we acted fast and Connor had another appointment this past Monday under anesthesia for a full eye exam. Not an easy two weeks of waiting, nor was the 40 minutes while he was in his exam...but he did fine (he loves nurses...such a flirt!) The doc came back with good news...NO glaucoma, but some scary numbers for his prescription. Connor is a -11.5 in his right eye and a -10.5 in his left eye. He can not see much of this beautiful world, unless it falls inside a 1-2 ft bubble around him. So...moral of the story - Connor is getting glasses...that is why there are all these cute pictures of us shopping for his first pair of eye glasses.
Many praises for Connor being okay and just needing glasses...as well as Karly being in town. Talk about right place at the right time. It was a time I needed a best friend by my side.
