First sentence: I NEED ELMO!

I think Connor has hit his terrible twos at 16 months...Is that possible? I am not sure...and even on the hardest days, I still look at those blue eyes and find myself saying I LOVE YOU until I am out of breath.

Some of the reasons why I am loving this boy so much...

He loves dancing, playing the guitar, having you play the guitar and sing while he goes crazy dancing, he said his first sentence, "I need Elmo", climbing on top of the kitchen table and kitchen counters, calls Stu (our roomie for the time being) BaBaStu, can destroy my house in about 20 minutes, cracks up laughing everytime i say "big bug", loves saying goodbye, kisses the baby in my belly, is saying tons of new words and is swimming like a little fishy in the pool!

On Saturday we had a beach day down at No Surfs...It was so beautiful and always a good day when you can hang out with friends on the beach all day long! We put the boys on the soft top...It was super low tide and about a foot of water on soft reef. We waited for small lil waves to roll in and Lori pushed the boys into the waves...It was so cute and they did so good. Connor would ride it in all the way to the shore to show us in sign language he wanted more - it was awesome! Hopefully next summer he will really be trying to surf!

Last weekend we joined 6 other families for a weekend of camping! It was so much fun as all the kids are the same age as Connor! The kids were super dirty (never captured a picture of his dirty face and hands...opps!) Connor found a new love for dirt - he would throw it up in the air and on top of his head - the same way you would see the elephants doing it at the zoo! Needless to say, he was dirty and loved it!

My mom came to town last week for a short trip. We had fun taking Connor to the zoo and playing around the house!

Taking Motherhood to a Whole New Level

I never thought I would be the Mom pushing a huge shopping car cart through the store...But how can you not if they are so happy and enjoy grocery shopping this way! Not the easiest things to turn, but I managed to leave the store without knocking anything down and a happy boy (which matters the most)!!!

Connor started taking swim lessons at my old swim school three weeks ago. He is loving it and doing so well. He is going under water, kicking his legs, scooping his arms, searching for fishes under water on the tot dock, blowing bubbles and laughing a lot during songs. Jumping in is not working so well...he does not like to get out of the water! He is my little fishy for sure!!!

For Labor day we spend an awesome and beautiful weekend in Big Bear...It was so relaxing, beautiful weather, great food and of course the best - being with family! Wish there were more three day weekends like that!

GO Chargers!

Connor got to go to his first Charger game! It was the last pre season game against the 49ers, but still lots of fun! We tailgated and had awesome seats that our good friend Grant had given us. Hopefully we will make it to more games this year since we are so close to a Pro team now :D

Last week Connor and I went to Disneyland with Donelle, Tre and her cousin to celebrate her birthday! It was Connor's first time and I had not been in 13 years so it was quite fun and exciting! I wish I could go to Disneyland everyday to see the smiles and laughs Connor had on his face during rides and parades...It was so hard to capture pictures of him - hoping next time Daddy is there so we can get some good photos!
