Not feeling these too much.
Getting better...
Aww...I LOVE them!
A little side view.
Yep. We like them! Connor with Auntie Karly
A little update...Well, its gonna be a full story as we never did tell many people about Connor's eyes. So here I go (I will make it as short as possible)...
At 8 weeks old we noticed Connor's pupils were not centered. The pediatrician referred us to an opthamologist as he never had seen such a thing. A few weeks went by until we could get an appointment. Everything turned out to be normal, just rare. Since Connor was so young they could not do a full eye exam, so they wanted to see him back in 6 months. That appointment was 2 weeks ago and the results were not as expected. As parents, we just thought Connor was perfect (well he has his moments, butyou know what I mean...He is perfect ;)!!!) The opthamologist did a full eye exam and found that Connor was very near-sided. As an infant it is rare to be near-sided, a sign of glaucoma...So we acted fast and Connor had another appointment this past Monday under anesthesia for a full eye exam. Not an easy two weeks of waiting, nor was the 40 minutes while he was in his exam...but he did fine (he loves nurses...such a flirt!) The doc came back with good news...NO glaucoma, but some scary numbers for his prescription. Connor is a -11.5 in his right eye and a -10.5 in his left eye. He can not see much of this beautiful world, unless it falls inside a 1-2 ft bubble around him. So...moral of the story - Connor is getting glasses...that is why there are all these cute pictures of us shopping for his first pair of eye glasses.
Many praises for Connor being okay and just needing glasses...as well as Karly being in town. Talk about right place at the right time. It was a time I needed a best friend by my side.
